VELOURS OF DESIRE#6 [WOMEN]

This design reinterprets the construction of the 1930s grizzly jacket by combining it with hair-on baby calfskin through the design language of BLACK LABEL.

The front incorporates the fur-panel construction that defines the grizzly jacket, using hair-on baby calfskin as the focal material. In contrast, the remaining areas incorporate traditional leatherwear details such as action pleats, side adjusters, and cuff zippers. At the back, the hair-on calfskin panel is omitted and replaced with ARTHUR lambskin, creating a refined impression that contrasts with the more expressive front.

Previously, when working with hair-on baby calfskin, the designs were kept relatively minimal in order to emphasize the material’s natural texture and distinctive presence. This design takes a different approach by combining the characteristic construction of the grizzly jacket with elements of traditional leatherwear, maintaining the material’s strong visual impact while making it more approachable for everyday wear.

Rather than reproducing the original grizzly jacket as it was, the design has been reconstructed through the perspective of BLACK LABEL, achieving a balance between the striking character of hair-on baby calfskin and its wearability as everyday clothing.
