STANDARD SEMI-OVER JK#4 (CRACK DIST)
The proportions are set around a semi-oversized fit that accommodates a wide range of styling options. In particular, the sleeve cap height has been meticulously adjusted to achieve an optimal shoulder line that is neither overly angular nor excessively dropped, completing a stable and balanced silhouette.
To maintain a stable lower silhouette even when the zipper is open, the back is constructed with a segmented structure without elastic banding. Action pleats are placed on the back to enhance mobility, while bold slanted welt pockets are positioned on the front, refining the remaining elements to preserve structural clarity.
Double-stitch construction increases overall density, and triangular stitching at the lower section is applied as the brand’s signature detail.
The Distress (Cloudy) article is inspired by leather garments from the 1970s that have naturally faded and discolored over time.
At Noir Larmes, the distress effect is achieved through vegetable tanning using eco-friendly materials in collaboration with the Italian tannery DEGI PELLAMI. Unlike conventional distressed leather that is chrome-tanned with chemical dyes, Italy Vegetable-Tanned Crack Distressed Leather (Full Grain) is defined by its higher quality and more natural, deeply aged vintage character.
To create this effect, a base color is first applied using the natural crust tone or ground dyeing. The leather is then drum-dyed to the desired color, followed by an even spray of a light dye over the surface to form a thin layer.
If the milling process is carried out for too long, the applied dye may wear off. Therefore, skilled craftsmen must carefully monitor and adjust the process every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure the distress effect is properly achieved. This is a highly demanding process requiring precision and focus.
Once the overall tone reaches the intended effect, the process is completed by applying and fixing the final color. During milling, hundreds of leather pieces tumble and collide, making it impossible for each piece to have an identical distressed effect. This natural variation gives each piece its own distinct vintage character, which is a defining feature of the CRACK DISTRESSED article.
Métis leather refers to hides developed over time through the shared grazing of sheep and goats, resulting in accumulated genetic influence between the two species.
This leather is characterized by durability, a subtle grain texture, visible backbone marks, and fold marks, while also retaining the soft structure and flexibility typical of lambskin.
Due to the nature of the spray process applied over the ground color, variations in color density and brightness may occur.
As crack distressed leather ages with wear and time, the surface grain color naturally wears down in high-contact or high-friction areas, revealing the underlying base color and creating a distinctive vintage contrast.
