BLACK LABEL_JACK (BABY CALFSKIN)
JACK is a reinterpretation that combines the clean structure of a single rider jacket with the strong visual character of a quilted biker jacket.
Moving away from the aggressive impression of a typical double rider defined by an asymmetric closure and voluminous quilting, JACK places quilted detailing within the more orderly front structure of a single rider. While retaining the dimensional surface and presence characteristic of quilted biker jackets, the overall composition is simplified and refined to achieve a more restrained form.
The jacket is crafted from Baby Calfskin, known for its delicate surface and supple hand. Unlike traditional motorcycle jackets typically expressed through rigid and rugged leathers, the quilting is constructed on soft Baby Calfskin, allowing both sculptural volume and the refined character of the material to emerge together.
The defining characteristic of JACK lies in the combination of the clean structure of a single rider, the dimensional detailing of a quilted biker jacket, and the delicate materiality of Baby Calfskin within a single design.
Gargiulo, founded in Naples, Italy in the 1950s, is a tannery that has been producing top-tier leather for four generations.
The vegetable calfskin produced by Gargiulo combines long-standing tradition with modern technology, resulting in leather that is remarkably soft, richly supple, and exceptionally durable.
