STANDARD RIDER JK#8
Since its initial release in 2015, this model has become an iconic piece that has defined the direction of the Noir Larmes Standard Line.
Following its founding in 2009, Noir Larmes had primarily developed its collections around the Black Label. In 2015, the brand introduced the Standard Line for the first time, encapsulating the expertise accumulated over the years. This jacket stands as the first model of the Standard Line and remains a signature carryover piece that has been continuously refined.
The design adheres to the traditional language of the double rider jacket while being carefully rebalanced to align with the philosophy of the Standard Line. Compared to conventional double riders, it features a slightly more relaxed silhouette, improving both the shoulder line and overall comfort. The lapel width has been subtly reduced, and the V-zone refined to create a more modern impression.
The front composition of the jacket is dense, featuring an asymmetric zipper, snaps, zippered pockets, and a flap coin pocket. The lower zipper end tab serves to organize these elements, functioning both as a design feature that completes the front and as a structural detail that reinforces the lower closure and reduces friction during riding.
All pockets are designed for practical use rather than decoration. To address the lifting that can occur at the back due to the asymmetric front structure, a structured back panel has been applied. Action pleats are also incorporated to enhance mobility.
Refined over years, this jacket stands as a timeless model that transcends trends.
Noir Larmes has developed the ALTO-type article HUGO Vegetable Lambskin through a 17-year collaboration with the Italian tannery Only Frank, and receives it on an exclusive basis.
Only full-grain hides with superior density and uniform thickness are carefully selected. Unlike conventional vegetable lambskin, which tends to be relatively thin with a rough touch, HUGO Vegetable Lambskin features a substantial thickness that forms a firm structure, offering a supple, moist hand feel with enhanced durability.
Vegetable tanning is a traditional method using plant-based tannins, completed through an extended, labor-intensive process. Due to these characteristics, the leather develops a richer patina over time, revealing the natural texture of the material.
*Due to the nature of vegetable leather, it is dyed in a jet black color to achieve depth. It may not appear fully deep black at first, but gradually darkens into a richer, more matte black tone through the natural patina process.
